What is Rocky Mountain Power's wattsmart battery program?
Rocky Mountain Power’s Wattsmart Battery Program launched December 1, 2020, and is available to homes and businesses that either have or want to install an in-home or on-site battery storage system. Currently the program is only available for customers with a rooftop solar system, or a rooftop solar system paired with a battery.
Does Rocky Mountain Power offer battery storage?
Rocky Mountain Power is paying customers to share battery storage and help maintain a more stable grid with fewer outages. By participating, customers earn an upfront incentive and ongoing bill credits, while using renewable energy to help keep electricity prices in Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming among the nation's lowest. Am I eligible?
Who qualifies for Rocky Mountain Power?
Qualifying Rocky Mountain Power customers must be on Electric Service Schedule 135, 136, or 137 to be eligible. All equipment is installed, connected, and meets all program requirements for participation on or after December 1, 2020. Battery must be charged by customer onsite solar system. Incentive capped at 70% of battery equipment costs.
